Pietro Martello,
for the last forty odd years,
has been inventing and creating
models of miniatures shoes,
continuing to translate the ancient
venetian cultural legacy
into art objects.
His
collection, unique in the world,
now consists of about six hundred
original items, which, regardless of
any economic value, represent
the fruit of a tradition which has
not been lost.
A rapport
stems from the encounter
with Richard Khoury's photographic eye,
in which reality and image pursue each other
in a free and ironic game of proportions.
This all
happens in front of the camera
lens: is it the shoes or is the accompanying
object enormous ?
In front of
the exhibition's visitor,
step after step,
the photographs narrate and
draw attention to the object,
witch in turn defines and reveals
the image.
This is how
the rapport of creativity
develops, continuing along the road
to a free and fantastic world.
Which can be
reached with
small steps.
